You Might Call It A Day Program

We call it "Pinterest Come to Life".  You know those really creative types that surf the Internet for arts and craft projects and then just relish the opportunity to do them? Well that sums up the folks at Colonnade Community Day Program.  If you need a candle holder made out of a tree stump? No problem! Hungry? These guys whip up mouth watering recipes every Wednesdays. Looking for entertainment? Look no further.  They act and make movies too.  That is just how cool they are!  Now they are taking their creativity to a whole new level.  A wheelchair might be used for getting around but did you know that it can also be used for painting? That’s right.  They are calling it “wheelchair art”. We’re calling it amazing!

Let's Hear It For TEAM KGROVE!

Ottawa Race Weekend is coming up on May 28th and lots of charities will be participating.  This year Stacy and Katherine have teamed up to form TEAM KGROVE and they have a mission and that mission is to raise money for Camp Misquah.

Katherine has spent many of her summers at Camp Misquah — she looks forward all year long to reconnecting with the friends she’s made and enjoys sharing her stories with everyone back home.  Camp Misquah is dedicated to providing a memorable experience to people of all ages with developmental disabilities.

Stacy will be Katherine’s sponsored runner in the 5KM run.  If you're interested in supporting Katherine and Stacy and Camp Misquah click here or visit www.runottawa.ca and search for Camp Misquah, then click on click on Be A Fundraiser, then click on TeamKGrove and press Donate Now.
