Robin Meyers named Executive Director

Ottawa, ON (November 8, 2023) – Following a lengthy search, the Board of Directors of Total Communication Environment Ottawa is pleased to announce the appointment of Robin Meyers as Executive Director. Robin succeeds Karen Belyea, who served TCE Ottawa with distinction for more than three decades.

Robin joins the TCE team following a distinguished career in the health care and developmental services sectors, most recently serving as director of housing programs and business development with Carefor Health & Community Services.  Early in her career, Robin worked at TCE Ottawa’s Wilson House as a Developmental Services Worker.

In total, she has more than 20 years of experience in community and personal support services, human resources and program management. An advocate of person-centered support, which is the central philosophy guiding TCE Ottawa’s service to its more than 90 residents and their families, Robin was one of 90 applicants for the ED position.

She is a 1993 graduate of the DSW program at Ottawa’s Algonquin College. She completed the Champlain LHIN Senior Leadership Program in 2016 through the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management & University of Ottawa Telfer School of Management. Most recently, this past April, she earned an MBA specializing in Human Resources Leadership from the University of Fredericton.

Priorities in her new role as Executive Director include full implementation of TCE’s strategic and succession plans, maintaining and enhancing our person-centred support program, staff development and addressing urgent and ongoing financial challenges.
