Founder Christine Wilson Passes Away

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the sudden passing of one of the founders of TCE, Christine Wilson.

Christine and her husband Murray came together with a small group of interested community members in the late 1970’s to create a community-based home at 179 Stewart St. in Sandy Hill for their foster son Jamie and other children like him with multiple disabilities and special communication needs.

Christine served on the Board of Directors for 35 years and was a guiding light for our organization.

She will be deeply missed by her husband Murray, sons Jamie, Adam (Maddie), Nicholas and Christopher (Miok) and six, soon to be seven, grandchildren. She also leaves to grieve her sister Merry and her brother Dan and their families.

Christine’s impact on the world was profound. She leaves a huge chasm within her group of friends and community members across all of the volunteer and community groups she supported or volunteered with.
